SecNsight

Terms of use

Last updated: 1 November 2026

The short version. SecNsight is a scanning aid that is provided as is. It can miss problems and it can report problems that are not real. You decide what to do with the results, and you are responsible for what you change.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms apply to your use of SecNsight, operated by [YOUR LEGAL NAME AND POSTAL ADDRESS] ("we"), at secnsight.com and app.secnsight.com. By signing in or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. Our privacy policy explains how we handle data.

2. The service

SecNsight scans repositories and dependency files for vulnerable packages, packages that do not exist, leaked secrets and risky code patterns, and proposes a remediation for each finding. The proposals are suggestions only. We do not change your code.

Scanning is automated and limited. It does not cover every vulnerability, language feature or configuration, and a report with no findings does not mean your project is secure. The service is not a security audit, penetration test or professional advice.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Plans and limits

The Free plan includes up to 2 repositories and a daily scan limit. There are no paid plans at the moment. We may change plans, limits and prices in the future. Questions: info@secnsight.com.

5. Your data

Your code and results stay yours. You give us permission to process them only to run the scan and show you the results, as described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for having the right to give us that permission.

6. Third-party services

SecNsight depends on GitHub and on public vulnerability and package databases. We do not control them, and their errors, changes or outages can affect results and availability.

7. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or that the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of or inability to use the service. This includes vulnerabilities or secrets that were not found, wrong findings, loss of data, security incidents, lost profits, downtime, and anything that results from acting on a proposed remediation.

The Free plan is provided at no charge. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event, and it is zero if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, for example liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

9. Suspension and ending

You can stop using SecNsight and delete your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, abuse the service, or if we have to stop offering it. We will try to give notice where that is reasonable.

10. Changes to the service and the terms

We may change or stop features and update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, and the courts in Berlin have jurisdiction, as far as the law allows. This does not remove any protection that mandatory consumer law gives you in your country of residence.
